Hiring AI/ ML Techie. About the Role We are seeking a talented AI/ML Engineer to join our innovative team in building a category-defining relationship technology platform. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing our multi-AI architecture, integrating cutting-edge AI APIs, and developing custom models to power real-time emotional analysis and conversation coaching. This role is ideal for a creative problem-solver passionate about applying AI to enhance human interactions. Key Responsibilities Design and Implement Multi-AI Architecture: Develop and maintain the core AI systems (Probe, Mediator, Counsel, Gratification) to support voice-first user profiling, real-time communication coaching, and personalized growth insights. Integrate External AI APIs: Seamlessly integrate third-party APIs (e.g., Speechmatics for speech-to-text, Groq for LLM inference, ElevenLabs for text-to-speech) to ensure low-latency, high-accuracy performance. Develop Custom Models: Build and optimize custom emotion detection and conversation analysis models using frameworks like PyTorch, ensuring <500ms inference time for real-time applications. Optimize for Real-Time Performance: Enhance AI pipelines to achieve <1s latency for nudge generation and voice processing, supporting scalability for 100K+ concurrent users. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with backend, frontend, and DevOps engineers to integrate AI models into a microservices architecture and ensure seamless deployment on hybrid cloud infrastructure (AWS + DigitalOcean). Ensure Ethical AI: Implement bias mitigation strategies and maintain fairness metrics (e.g., demographic parity ≥0.95, equal opportunity ≥0.90) in model development. Continuous Improvement: Leverage user feedback and interaction data to refine AI models, ensuring a Profile Confidence Score (PCS) of ≥85% accuracy and a nudge acceptance rate of ≥60%. Skill Sets and Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. PhD is a plus. Experience: 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a focus on natural language processing (NLP) and/or audio processing. Proven track record of developing and deploying real-time AI models in production environments. Experience with transformer-based models (e.g., BERT) and audio analysis (e.g., CNNs for voice/emotion detection). Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow. Hands-on experience with cloud-based ML platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker) and API integration (e.g., Speechmatics, Groq, ElevenLabs). Familiarity with microservices architecture, GraphQL/gRPC, and message queues (e.g., Kafka). Knowledge of audio processing techniques, including voice activity detection (VAD) and noise reduction. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to tackle complex AI challenges. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work in a cross-functional team. Passion for ethical AI and user-centric design, with a focus on inclusivity and cultural sensitivity. Nice-to-Haves: Experience with WebRTC or real-time communication systems.
