𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺: 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲. 𝗔 𝗩𝗖 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱, “𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗲.” I’ve seen it myself. I paid for Lovable, used it, then canceled. Not because it’s bad — but because I only need it sometimes. That’s the real danger for any SaaS: if your product isn’t part of someone’s daily work, people stop using it. Growth slows, revenue leaks. “Churn and return” might work for a while, but it can’t build a strong, lasting business. Figma doesn’t have this issue. It’s built into teams everyday work, so users stick around. That’s why it scales. Lovable isn’t there yet. Unless they fix that, hype and marketing won’t save them.

2025 is the year AI coding stopped being theory and became practice. But most teams are still figuring out how to use it. Cursor and Claude Code became everyday tools, while platforms like Lovable made software creation accessible to non-engineers.

Had a heated debate with my co-founder Kalpan Shah. I was hyped about tools like Lovable, bolt.new, and Firebase Development Company (Firebase Studio AI). “These are the future,” I told him. “We can build anything with them.” But he pushed back —
