Bro, that mindset is so Silicon Valley propaganda it’s funny. Thinking SV startups are “way better” than Chinese ones is just blind hype. You’ve got companies like ByteDance, DJI, Alibaba, Tencent—these aren’t small players tinkering in garages. They’re building products used by billions, innovating in ways SV can’t even touch. ByteDance literally built the world’s most downloaded app in 2023, and DJI owns 80% of the global drone market. You don’t see that in US headlines because US media wants you to think the magic only happens in Palo Alto. Even in AI, Baidu, SenseTime, and Horizon Robotics are crushing it quietly, pushing real-world tech while SV is busy hyping “future robotaxis” that barely exist. And this isn’t about “few founders vs. new founders”—it’s about execution at massive scale, which China is insane at. Trust me, if you keep thinking SV = innovation and China = copycat, you’re straight up missing reality. The real action is global, and it’s not centered around a few Twitter feeds or hype articles.
