Some life skills can be taught, but many—like empathy, resilience, or handling failure—are truly understood only through lived experience. You can explain them in class, but they take root when we actually face real moments that shape us. If we turn these into graded subjects, we risk losing their authenticity and turning them into numbers to compare. I feel schools should focus more on creating space for curiosity and experimentation, so students can discover these lessons for themselves in a natural way.
