firstly people don't think they have any problem with plastic utensils and hot food (lack of knowledge and information on its ill effects) secondary, the vendors sell it because it's far cheaper then the alternative (basic economics for poor countries) thirdly it's not easily accessible in the mass market(less demand so less people are willing to stock it and bear higher risk) The fourth could be plastic utensils and waste is disposed of without a second thought ( hence the extreme level of waste all around us) fifth the sustainable alternative like glass and steel utensils needs to be washed which requires time, energy and resources to clean and maintain (which the sellers do not want to take and require more man power and space which is not available in metro city and high traffic areas) just some issues I could see. do add in this if I missed anything. I am working on a product to solve this. wish me luck 🤞
