bro, it really doesn't matter, a friend of mine hade 12 backs, and never finished exams, earning more than any of us now and has very good job. He just took a coding bootcamp and worked on skills. It's not good to have 8 backlogs, but it's okay if you do. Just learn coding from a geniune place, and keep applying.

just focus on 1 language and get more in depth knowledge in it. Keep building projects which standout from others.In this era of AI and fast changing technology skills >> degree🎯

I feel you man i also had the same situation, in spite of having backlogs i learned coding during my final year cracked an off campus job in which I cleared all my backlogs after 1.5 years in my job. I have Changed 3 jobs till now no one asked my degree yet. every company hired purely just for my skills Ur college name & degree is only important to put in your resume that's it

I feel you man..I also went through similar thing in my 7th semester. Unfortunately in indian job market most companies will give you a full time job only if you have cleared all your backlogs and have a degree. I would suggest you to just study hard to clear the backlogs and find a good software engineering internship in a startup to do on the side, perform well in the internship cuz if you do so they will wait for you to clear your backlogs and even extend the internship for some months

Well, I had a total of 16 backlogs in my entire btech. 6 of which I failed twice, so I gave 22 backlog papers. Still I gave GATE (2years drop), got into IIIT Bangalore and now I have a job with fairly good package. I guess that's good enough motivation for you. All the best!

Brother I too have 20 backlogs in my btech from ece never got interest in that subject and a fees of 2 lakhs is also pending i didn't gave last sem exams and currently on a job as jr. engineer

I know this might sound absurd, but I had 22 backlogs + 9 papers from the current year in the last year. Yes, at that time my uni had "carry on" till last year. I cleared the TechMahindra interview, got the job worked for a few months, and left the company to clear all the papers by taking an extra sem after my 4th year. 1.5 years, 31 papers, 2 projects, 3 labs all done and dusted in that time frame.
