When we started 6 months ago, it wasn’t even called Flique. It was called Socifair. We didn’t have a UI. Just a whiteboard and a problem we couldn’t stop thinking about. News didn’t feel useful anymore. It felt noisy, repetitive, and bloated with things that didn’t matter. So we started drawing. Swipe flow. Quick summaries. Clean layouts. The first version looked completely different from what we have now. We’ve changed the name. The interface. Even the way we define our core experience. And we’ll probably change more. But the one thing that hasn’t changed is why we’re building it: To make news feel clear, fast, and actually worth your time. This photo is from one of our earliest whiteboard sessions. Before the designs. Before the name Flique. Before any real product. Startups change direction all the time. That’s not a pivot. That’s the process.
