Why doesn’t JEE conduct branch-wise exams like GATE? If someone wants to be a Software Engineer, then he has to decide that during UG counselling. Why? Because we assume he/she has "interest" in that field, right? But if you claim to have interest without even knowing the subject names, then it’s not interest it's just dust in your eyes u know y everyone wants to take CSE? coz society, influencers, course sellers, and pados wale uncle all of them have filled that idea inside your soul. Yesterday, I was talking to my dad. The discussion was about my younger brother’s career what he wants to do, and what he’s interested in. At the end, we came to one conclusion: Engineering karwa dete , life set. Indian youth, parents and everyone in a crowd of clowns. If someone is genuinely interested in coding, they can learn from anywhere. Free or paid god-level material is available. But if YT stops working for a day, most students won’t even be able to pass a single exam..

Here’s the thing, coding is not engineering. Engineering is a full blown course curriculum and the selection is that’s why dependent of PCM to know if the student is overall capable. Then branches make the course specialised.
