Thereโs something magical about coding with AI. And something dangerous too. At first, it feels like a secret weapon. Code writes itself. Bugs vanish in minutes. Ideas become features at lightning speed. But thenโsomething shifts. You start trusting it a little too much. You stop reading line by line. You copy. You ship. You move on. Until one day, what you built doesnโt quite work. A tiny bug appears. Then a bigger one. Then a logic flaw that makes you say: โWait, did I even write this?โ Truth is, we donโt always treat AI with the respect it deserves. There was a time when coding meant thinking. You traced logic flows. You wrestled with edge cases. You named variables like they matteredโbecause they did. But somewhere along the way, AI became a shortcut. And thinking took a back seat. Itโs not hard to see why. The suggestions feel smart. The syntax is clean. And the dopamine hit? Instant. But AI doesnโt know your context. It doesnโt know your edge cases. It doesnโt care about readability, UX tradeoffs, or the long game. Thatโs your job. And if you hand over the reins completely, youโre not saving time. Youโre borrowing itโwith interest due later. So I started treating AI like a junior teammate. Not because itโs incapableโ But because itโs fast, eager, and context-blind. It needs direction. It needs review. It needs someone to say: โNice start. Letโs tighten this up.โ Because fixing bugs created by AI isnโt just frustratingโ Itโs not much of a vibe you wanna vibe with. And honestly? Iโd rather keep the vibe.
