Mark Zuckerberg took the entire Facebook staff to see 'The Social Network' Many people wonder-if so many facts in The Social Network were wrong, why didn't Mark Zuckerberg go against its release? Heās actually explained this more than once. First, he knew it wasnāt meant to be a documentary. It was a movie. The writers added drama to make it entertainingānot accurate. And he didnāt take it personally. Second, he understood that pushing back would only draw more attention to it. Calling it out publicly wouldāve made it a bigger story. Most importantly, he was focused on building Facebook. The company was growing fast, and he didnāt want to waste time on distractions. In the end, the film didnāt slow him downāand he let Facebookās success speak louder than any script ever could.
