Did you know ? Mark Zuckerberg took the entire Facebook staff to see 'The Social Network' Many people wonder-if so many facts in The Social Network were wrong, why didn't Mark Zuckerberg go against its release? He’s actually explained this more than once. First, he knew it wasn’t meant to be a documentary. It was a movie. The writers added drama to make it entertaining—not accurate. And he didn’t take it personally. Second, he understood that pushing back would only draw more attention to it. Calling it out publicly would’ve made it a bigger story. Most importantly, he was focused on building Facebook. The company was growing fast, and he didn’t want to waste time on distractions. In the end, the film didn’t slow him down—and he let Facebook’s success speak louder than any script ever could.
