I recently came across a blog that featured the 25 fastest growing companies of 2025. Out of curiosity, I categorised their total funding by sector and here’s what the numbers look like: • AI and Dev Tools: ~$16.2B • SaaS Tools: ~$312B • E-Commerce and D2C: ~$1.3B • Ed-tech: ~$235M • Health: ~$421M • Fintech: ~$1.7B • Creator Tech: ~$90M I looked at the patterns b/w these companies. Most of them are growing with minimal ad spend. Instead of paid performance marketing, they’ve scaled through SEO, referral loops, and community-led traction. Another common thread is their user focus. These tools aren't built for large enterprises. They’re designed for solo operators, educators, creators, and small business owners. The kind of users who value speed, simplicity, and flexibility over bloated systems. Ed-tech, in particular, is undergoing a quiet shift. The new direction is more personalised and purpose-led, moving away from generic content libraries toward tools that adapt to individual learning goals. AI is no longer just a feature. Whether it’s writing code, editing photos, or managing data infrastructure, AI now sits at the centre. It is the product. Which sector here do you think is still underrated or overlooked?
