Damn. This one hits hard. Windsurf’s co-founder Varun Mohan is getting called out for leaving the startup to join Google and people aren’t holding back. Words like “abandoned,” “cashed out,” and “left the team behind” are all over social media right now. honestly? Startups are hard. Founders burn out. Life changes. But when a co-founder walks away mid-journey, especially after raising funds and building a vision with a team… it feels personal. To those still grinding at Windsurf, it probably feels like being left on a battlefield after your general flew out in a chopper. But then again can you blame someone for taking a stable, life-changing opportunity? Isn’t that what we’re all chasing in the end? There are no clear heroes or villains here. Just people. Choices. Consequences.
