I know this is a lengthy post , but I think it's need of the hour. Read fully and patiently... AI has become such a buzz word that every starter wants to integrate AI in their pitch. It's not a sin to build businesses based on AI or adding a layer of AI somehow into the existing business. The problem is, we forget history when we get excited. What happened in 90's is something very important. People left no chance in integrating tech & IT into everything. Let me emphasize again, it's not a sin to adapt to advancements . But the caution is not to get sucked into a bubble and thrown away when the bubble bursts. There are only a handful of companies after 2000 which emerged as winners and when the dust settled, more people came into the market and made up their businesses. Currently , AI is being advanced by the global big names and many people are trying to reinforce their ideas with AI tech and build platforms which isn't surprising. But the problem is how much and how many can do the same thing in the same narrow space . Bubbles form when we lose the track about what's going above our head. If someone says, I want to integrate AI into education. Probably 10000 would do the same and ten would survive. My advice to founders is to pick a space where there is a niche population waiting for a problem to be solved. See, why the traditional businesses didn't find a way to solve their problem. See if there's a solution without an AI component that can be helpful to deal the problem. If possible start doing that . Simultaneously , plan to integrate AI based solution " if and only if" required and you are sure that the solution can help it better than a traditional way. Entrepreneurship is not about making billions and trillions. It's just an output of successful execution , but can't be the initial objective . First the business should survive, then the founder & investors should survive , then the employees should survive . If the survival part is taken care of , longevity is garunteed and then everything else.
