Al drama continues: Windsurf is now a part of Cognition Cognition, the parent company of Al coding agent Devin, has acquired Windsurf, another Al coding start-up. The deal follows Google's $2.4 billion reverse-acquihire of Windsurf's CEO Varun Mohan and co-founder Douglas Chen. Cognition is acquiring all remaining Windsurf employees and its intellectual property (IP) and product offerings. The acquisition will enhance Devin's capabilities, with the Windsurf team set to work on Devin in the interim. ai!!
