HOW I USE CHATGPT AS A CO-WORKER, NOT A SHORTCUT In today’s hustle-driven world, it’s tempting to use AI tools like ChatGPT as a shortcut — especially for students. Just type, copy, paste, and submit. No effort, no learning. But the real potential https://medial.app/of AI isn’t in getting quick answers — it’s in asking better questions and building better outcomes with it. To me, ChatGPT has never been a replacement for thinking. It’s a co-worker, not a crutch. Whether I’m writing research papers, working on my startup, or creating content, I make sure the ideas start with me and are built by me. The AI comes in only to enhance, polish, or organize those ideas further. Take research papers, for example. I begin by exploring articles and blogs myself — and even when using Perplexity AI to assist with research, I check every source and verify each statement it gives. I build my own understanding, form my point of view, draft the piece in my own words, and only then let AI help refine it. Through this, the research grows with my knowledge and skillset. Even in content creation, AI helps by suggesting topics or building small pointers to help me remember key ideas while recording. When I speak on camera, those AI-generated points are just memory aids, not teleprompters. In my startup work too, AI helps in problem-solving — not as the main builder, but as a part of the brainstorming process. This approach might take more time than simply generating everything with a one-line prompt, but it allows me to think deeper and sharpen my own skills. AI, when used well, isn’t just a tool. It’s a teammate. It doesn’t replace your thinking — it sharpens it. In a generation full of shortcuts, maybe the real flex is learning how to build the long way — but smarter.
