Recently read “The Nvidia Way: Jensen Huang and the making of tech giant”, as authored by Tae Kim. There is so much to dwell upon in this gritty story of how Jansen Huang’s life travelled from working as a Janitor to helming the most valued Company in the world. There is no magical secret sauce spilled here, rather It’s a story about relentless ‘speed of light’ execution, indomitable ‘how hard can it be’ approach, and a restlessness ‘paranoid of worst’ pursuit to trump every challenge and adversity, of which Nvidia and its founder had plentiful at every step of the way. Below are some of the catch-phrases from the book that stayed with me: - Success has seeds of its own failure - Like a race car, one should know how to drive one's executive team - Ultimate boss is the mission itself - Praise is a distraction so is resting on laurel - Customers don't want to be persuaded they want to be seduced - If you want to do extra-ordinary things, it shouldn’t be easy - No one looses alone In its founder CEO's word “Intelligence and Genius has little do with Nvidia success, rather it was hard work and Resilience” Such a classic, a must read!
