AWS just made its biggest Free Tier update in years—if you're a dev (or planning to be), here's the quick rundown: New accounts now get up to $100 (or €200) in credits, but only for 6 months You earn those credits by completing basic tasks (like launching an EC2 instance, setting up Budgets, etc.) There are two plans: • Free Plan – great for learning, 6-month limit, same AWS access • Paid Plan – full production use, no time cap Important: If you create an account before July 15, 2025, you still get the old 12-month Free Tier After that, you’ll be on the new system by default And if you're on the Free Plan but don’t upgrade after 6 months, your account shuts down automatically want the traditional 12-month experience? Set up your account before July 15. this includes even more details: https://freetier.co/articles/aws-free-tier-changes-july-15-2025
