AWS just made its biggest Free Tier update in years—if you're a dev (or planning to be), here's the quick rundown: New accounts now get up to $100 (or €200) in credits, but only for 6 months You earn those credits by completing basic tasks (like launching an EC2 instance, setting up Budgets, etc.) There are two plans: • Free Plan – great for learning, 6-month limit, same AWS access • Paid Plan – full production use, no time cap Important: If you create an account before July 15, 2025, you still get the old 12-month Free Tier After that, you’ll be on the new system by default And if you're on the Free Plan but don’t upgrade after 6 months, your account shuts down automatically want the traditional 12-month experience? Set up your account before July 15. this includes even more details: https://freetier.co/articles/aws-free-tier-changes-july-15-2025

AWS is launching an AI agent marketplace with Anthropic, expected to debut July 15. Think of it like an App Store for agents—startups and indie devs upload agents, companies pick what they need, and AWS takes a small cut.
