After 10+ years in startups, finding competition is actually reassuring. It means there's real demand. The scary scenario is when you're the only one building something - that usually means you're solving a problem nobody has. Competition keeps you sharp.

NGL, first reaction is always panic. That sinking feeling of "fuck, am I wasting my time?" But then I remember..competition validates the market.

Honestly, it doesn't bother me much. Even if similar products exist, what truly matters is targeting the right audience, having a solid pricing model, and making your product truly efficient. Execution and marketing make all the difference, just look at Zoho, Zomato, Zepto. So for me, it's more like: "Let’s build better, let’s market smarter." At the very least, I’ll make sure my product delivers real value and reaches the right people.

The same thing happened to me but I took that situation as I am on the right path and my idea is validated by that company so its cool market is big enough for every one, I ask you what if someone builds after you with some good modification then ?? it is more scary that way !!

It's not about the idea, but how well you bring it to life, basically execute it properly.

I just switch to a new idea but if there is something in that thing that I can improve then I go with it. like if I know that there is something that they are not working on or their product is flawed thats when I know
