Cursor's fun, no doubt. But hype ≠ moat. Cool UX doesn’t guarantee survival — especially when you're built on someone else's stack.

It's not about hype, it's about the quality of the generated code and Cursor is great at it. Claude Code is way better but it's launched very recently and thus it's not that popular. And btw you're talking about Ux when it comes to Cursor!! Cursor is literally a VS Code Fork. It's Ui/Ux is as same as of VS Code.

Quality matters, sure. But long-term edge matters more. Cursor runs on someone else’s codebase, models, and infra. That’s not a moat — that’s a vulnerability.

I finally understood the difference between Claude Code and Cursor. The answer is that Cursor will punish you for writing a bad prompt. if you write a good prompt it will give you good results, and if you write a bad one, you will get bad results.
