I tried downloading a older version of youtube once to escape this short shit but my phone wasn't compatible considering that the older version isnt compatible with latest devices 😭

yeah, shorts audience is different, and youtube will not remain same like it used to be on mobile, longform content watchers numbers will drop eventually.

Totally agree. Even if I mark a video as “not interested”, it still keeps showing up. They’ve clearly put all their effort into Shorts — the long-form experience is just getting worse day by day.

i have a solution to block direct jumping on yt shorts , and whenever you search you only see meaningful yt video , my tool gonna to help in reducing mindless scrolling and get rid of the digital detox , but the only thing I paid developer between$100 ~ 500 dollars, cause he said it is worthY in future. so how much you can pay for this tool also feature can be added by you

Couldn't agree more. One thing that I try to do from my end at least is to stick to my laptop. I think they push less of such contents on desktop sites. But I understand tho, phones are generally the go to device for almost everything, so it feels annoying when they push shorts content on my phone.
