Is anyone building an AI video editor? 🧵 Not a video generator. Not text-to-video. I mean a real AI assistant for editors. Like GPT-4, but for timeline-based editing. Let me explain what I mean:👇 1. AI Timeline Editor Drag in your raw clips. Tell the AI: “Make a 30s YouTube Shorts montage” Or: “Cut out all the silences, sync to beat, and add dynamic zooms.” Done. 2. AI Color Grading & Effects Prompt it like: “Make this look cinematic with teal-orange tones” 3. Auto B-Roll Suggestions It watches your A-roll and recommends or inserts B-roll from your footage — “He mentioned ‘coffee’ — here's a slow-mo pour clip from earlier.” 4. Smart Text & Captions “Add subtitles in bold white, lower third, auto-paced.” Or even: 5. Voice-Based Editing What if you could literally speak your edits? “Remove that long pause.” 6. Custom Presets via AI Memory It remembers your editing style. Learns your pacing, music taste, color preference. Like a virtual editing co-pilot.
