Unpopular Opinion: After a point, using AI actually starts hurting productivity — even with the best models like ChatGPT. Initially, it does tasks very well, but after a while, it starts hallucinating and giving flat-out wrong answers. And if you're not familiar with the topic, it’s easy to get fooled. I was researching what colleges I could get for my percentile, and it just gave me incorrect info. Luckily, I already knew most of what it was saying was wrong, so I caught it. But someone who’s new to this stuff could have seriously suffered — especially now, when most of us blindly trust AI. What’s worse is that correcting AI takes more time than doing the research ourselves in the first place. In my case, doing things manually would’ve been way more effective.
