How did Medial gain their first 10,000 users? Did they use paid ads or was there any unique strategies? Can anyone help I’m building a social app and wanted to understand.

First focus on getting 100 users, then later 1000 users later on you can think of 10,000. Don't take elevators use steps for few floors

Yeah most def. But I’m curious as to how because the jump from 1000 to 10,000 is tough. My mvp when pre-launched had 883 DAUs and a 15 min avg user activity. I’m curious how apps get users what are the acquisition strategies.

conversions jump when friction drops. fewer steps, clearer value, remove "maybe later" buttons. every extra tap kills 20% of users. what's one unnecessary step you could delete today?
