A guy with lot's of ... • 21h
I just stumbled upon a startup that literally turns air pollution into ink and it absolutely blew my mind. It’s called Graviky Labs, and the brains behind it is Anirudh Sharma, an MIT Media Lab researcher who had a crazy thought while watching a diesel car spew black smoke in Delhi. “What if that pollution… could be captured… and turned into something useful?” That spark led to KAALINK, a device that attaches to vehicle exhausts and generators, capturing up to 95% of particulate matter (PM2.5). The soot is then purified, removing heavy metals and toxins, and converted into high-quality ink now famously known as AIR-Ink. But here’s where it gets even more brilliant. To launch the idea, Graviky teamed up with Tiger Beer for a campaign called "Clean Air. Powered by Pollution." They collected 150 liters of ink, equivalent to 2,500 hours of pollution, and handed it over to street artists. The murals created using that very soot popped up across Hong Kong a city struggling with poor air quality. The campaign didn’t just go viral… it sparked global conversations about art, air, and sustainability. From one wild idea… to cleaning over 1.6 trillion liters of air and producing hundreds of gallons of ink this is the kind of innovation that hits you in the gut. It’s poetic, gritty, and genius all at once. Imagine turning something deadly into something beautiful. That’s Graviky Labs. i would love to see more such startups popping up using science, creativity, and grit to fight climate change in ways that are both impactful and inspiring. The world needs a thousand more Graviky Labs. 🌝👑
