The Game is Rigged: And You're Not Supposed to Win Let’s be real. Some founders with absolutely game changing ideas real innovation, real impact can’t even raise ₹2 lakhs to get started. While some startup building a “crypto toothbrush” or “metaverse chai shop” gets funded in crores. Why? Because funding isn’t about ideas. It’s about image. It’s about who you are, where you studied, how you speak English, who you know, how many LinkedIn bros you can tag. VCs don't care if your product can change the world. They care if you look like someone who can make them a 100x return. And let’s face it: if you’re not from IIT, not in Bangalore, not dressed in a Patagonia vest with a VC friend list you’re invisible. The game is network first, product second, innovation last. This is why: Investors chase safety, not vision. A bad idea by an IIT guy is “high potential.” A great idea by a local kid is “too early-stage.” Hype > Hard work. If you can create FOMO, you get funding. If you’re quietly building a masterpiece, nobody cares. It’s a club. And most people aren’t invited. Meanwhile, truly disruptive ideas rural healthcare solutions, energy efficient farming tools, edtech for Tier 2/3 students get laughed out of pitch rooms. This is why most “funded” startups aren’t building anything meaningful. Just the same recycled crap with shinier logos. So if you’re a builder with no pedigree, no fancy college, no buzzword pitch: 🚫 Don’t expect fairness. ✅ Expect to grind harder. ✅ Build real value. ✅ Make noise. ✅ Let users speak for you. ✅ And then, watch them regret not backing you early. Because when the game is unfair, your only revenge is to win anyway 🌝🚀
