India is way behind in executing this. A humanoid robot can be a thing in the USA, where worker wages are high due to labor laws. In India, you can find cheap labor for just 500₹ a day. How can a humanoid robot stand apart from these poor humans? Until and unless India does something crazy with its economy, like finding a billion-dollar oil reserve or another way to make slow but steady improvements (again, there is no time to be slow in today's world), it can increase its per capita income and stand in the queue of developed nations.
