Great breakdown! But the "US grid" assumption is crucial here. In countries like India where 70% electricity comes from coal, EVs might actually be worse than petrol cars. The 123 g CO2e/pkm figure assumes US grid mix (~60% fossil fuels). In coal-heavy grids, EVs could easily exceed 200+ g CO2e/pkm, making them worse than small petrol cars.
