I just want to understand how a startup showcase works.
Do I only need to present my idea and explain how I plan to execute it, or do I need to have an actual business already up and running?

There’s no either or, right? If you don’t plan on executing it, why would you put any effort into building a description? Just for the prize money? I don’t think it’s worth it
