Do these experts stock tips actually work? 🤔 So, today I decided to look back at the last 12 months of stock predictions from those people who regularly give buy and sell calls. I wanted to see how the stocks they recommended really performed. I’m not going to mention any specific names, but I picked some few research analysts and made a list of their recommendations. Then, I took the average of the buying and selling prices they suggested for each stock and crunched the numbers. What I found was pretty surprising. If someone had just blindly followed all their calls buying whenever they said to buy and selling whenever they said to sell, without using any personal judgment then as of today, 8 June 2025, they would have barely managed to beat the returns of a fixed deposit, on average. For example, if a fixed deposit gave you a 7% return, following these recommendations would only get you around 7.3%. In my opinion, AI will be the biggest threat to stock image websites. Stock image sites like Shutterstock may see less demand because people can quickly create images instead of buying them. Many AI tools are now cheaper than stock image websites.
