One of my friends came up to me with the idea of launching a healthy drink called Kombucha. I did some digging and found out that this doesn't hold a big market share in the beverage industry in India right now, it is a very small as compared to U.S. market. In India there are very few players in this market, so we think it is a great opportunity with it's challenges as well. We have decided that we wanted to start this, and make a premium brand of it. Pricing it less than a Red Bull or any other premium energy drink but not marketing it as a energy drink rather a healthy drink which has it's several benefits. So if anyone has knowledge about this, please share your insights. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Note: Kombucha is a tea fermented drink originated from China. It gets fermented with a special substance called SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast). It requires only 3 ingredients to make kombucha: Tea, sugar and SCOBY.
