I own a restaurant on zomato too & they literally take more than half of the payout in the name of bla bla taxes.

why not they go for ONDC & why not everyone joins that and put a little afford to promote themselves on that kinda platform instead of giving fees & charges tht they feel aren't good

Giants don't want smaller kitchens those who don't want burn while funded chain burns . Zomato allready delisted small kitchens who has copied menus on discounted price 😁

Huge opportunity here for hyperlocal delivery networks. Think neighborhood-based apps with lower commission rates. The unit economics work better at smaller scale. Someone's gonna build the "anti-Zomato" and scale it city by city.

This is exactly why I've been saying delivery apps are parasites. 25-30% commission rates are unsustainable for small businesses. They created dependency then jacked up prices. Classic tech playbook - subsidize until you monopolize.
