Hi everyone, I don't want to make this a reddit post but I feel that here there are some exceptionally talented people and that if there is somebody who has faced this then their suggestions will drastically improve my life. I'm talking about "meeting anxiety". Whenever I have a work meeting where I know I have to say something and/or there are colleagues higher up in the business I have these episodes. I start shaking, I feel freezing but I’m sweating, my hands are cold, my heart starts racing and as a result I start talking really fast and shakey. It starts before the meeting and is there for the entire day leading up to the meeting, and ends immediately after the meeting finishes. I try to be as prepared as possible in order to prevent it, and it kind of helps but not enough. I’m worried I’ll sound unreliable and incompetent on the calls or won’t be able to answer a question that is posed to me. I'd request anyone who has overcome this to please suggest how you did so.
