Dangers of this new world. The world is changing so fast that the only way forward is to question everything and make space from your normal routine. Everyone has become hooked/programmed – if you’ve read about the drug self-administration test, a foundational method in addiction research – you’d know about how rats are trained to perform an action, typically pressing a lever to receive a dose of a drug… and how eventually, even when it becomes harmful, the rats keep pressing the lever simply from expecting a reward... If you were to look at a human and their phone – there wouldn’t be a single difference between that human + their phone AND the rat + the lever… t’s a scary world we’re living in, and I write this to beg you to please be aware of behaviors that have become automatic and might be harmful in the long run. Avoid cheap dopamine like your life depends on it… otherwise, you won’t have the courage to relentlessly pursue your dreams. You owe it to yourself to be Great!
