BSNL has installed 84,000 new 4G towers across India as part of its plan to build 100,000 4G sites using local technology. This upgrade aims to improve 4G services for over 90 million subscribers in both urban and rural areas and is designed to support future 5G rollout. With nearly 84% of the project complete, funded by the government, BSNL is modernizing its network to better compete and anticipates launching 5G services potentially by June 2025.
