Whether you're aiming to serve the local market or looking for overseas business, there is actual money to be made. • Focus on Innovation and Efficiency See, margins in manufacturing can be small but the more efficient you are, the more competitive you become. That means looking into automation, smarter production methods, and even something as simple as cutting down on waste. And for the love of God, focus on the Bills of material, break down each components and see where you can source for cheapest. • Get Serious About Sustainability The shift toward green energy and sustainable practices isn’t a trend (not sure, but most of the market believes this so lets say it isn't) it’s where the world is headed (apparently). If you're in energy, think about tapping into solar, wind, or other renewable solutions. If you're in manufacturing, even offering eco-friendly alternatives or meeting environmental standards can set you apart. Big companies want smaller greener partners to help them set a good image and so does few conscious consumers. • Team Up with the Big Guys Partnering with larger manufacturers or going after government tenders can be a smart move but it will be a tough thing to do considering how the tenders are distributed in our country (to be honest, its the same everywhere). But, if you pull it off, these relationships can bring in more stability, access to bigger contracts, and open doors that would otherwise take years for you to reach. More sectors coming soon...
