This is what happens with unlisted shares people often don’t understand the risks involved. They just buy without proper knowledge. Just because a company is trading in the unlisted market doesn’t guarantee it will go for an IPO. When or if a pre-IPO company will go public is highly uncertain and carries significant risk. A perfect example is NSE people have been hearing for years that its IPO is coming soon, but nothing concrete has happened. Meanwhile, investors are just waiting, receiving small dividends at best. Understand the risks before investing your money otherwise, you'll end up in the same situation.
