I’ve applied to the Medial Startup Showcase 3 times. Not once selected. Each time, they pick small community apps and basic tools—while something that could literally change lives gets ignored. I’ve spent the last 2-3 months sharing my project publicly. No connections, no opportunities, no support from the ecosystem. I’m building a solution that can redefine recovery, communication, and hope for patients who’ve lost everything. But maybe it’s too big, too ambitious, or just too ahead of its time for these platforms. Tell me honestly—does this not deserve to be in the top 10? Or is the world just not ready for it? Here’s my idea

Hey I am on Medial • 19d

“You’re dreaming about brain-computer interfaces and virtual full-dive healing worlds — and you don’t even have 15,000 rupees in funding? Seriously?” This isn’t a startup — it’s a fantasy wrapped in buzzwords. You’re talking about decoding thoughts, building VR rehab environments, and giving coma patients social lives in a digital world — and you’re begging on WhatsApp to win 15k? That’s not even enough to pay for a halfway decent VR headset, let alone a medical-grade prototype. Let’s be real: BCI research labs burn through millions of dollars and years of trials to get a patient to move a cursor. You think you're going to bypass all that and jump straight to “hyper-realistic avatar meetings with doctors” like it’s a video game? You're pitching a moonshot with the budget of a roadside chai stall. 15k rupees won’t even cover a basic Unity developer for a week, let alone brain-signal decoding hardware or AI voice integration. “This can change millions of lives” — no, it can’t, not with a prototype that probably doesn’t exist yet, no team with clinical expertise, and no capital to even legally register the startup. Honestly, this reads like someone watched too much Black Mirror and decided to start a med-tech company overnight without understanding what BCI, VR rehab, or product development actually requires. Harsh truth: Right now, PixelPeak is an idea, not a startup. It’s not investable, not credible, and not even executable in its current state.
