Now or never!! • 8d

Are we truly empowering our youth, or trapping them in an exhausting rat race? Yes, Shakti Dubey, the girl who secured AIR 1 in UPSC 2024, her story is inspiring—but it took her five long years to crack the exam. Can we really afford to have thousands of talented young people gamble away their twenties for one unpredictable result? While some argue that UPSC builds discipline and resilience, others question whether it’s just a glorified lottery that consumes creativity, mental health, and productive years. Shouldn’t we be encouraging our youth to innovate, build startups, or explore emerging careers instead of locking themselves in rooms with books and coaching notes? Is the prestige of becoming an IAS officer worth the lost years and the emotional toll for the vast majority who never make it? This is not just about one exam—it’s about whether our system is prioritizing potential or paralyzing it. what do u think?!
