Okay first of all , not every government service needs to be profitable. India Post connects remote villages that private companies won't touch because there's no money in it. That's literally the point of some public services right . Your "easy fixes" sound like typical armchair CEO stuffff. "just partner with e-commerce!" "just rent out space!" "just slash expenses!" If it were that simple, don't you think they'd have done it already?You're also ignoring the social role postal workers play in rural communities, where they often deliver more than just mail , they're trusted government representatives who help with pensions, savings schemes, and other services.Maybe dig deeper than just the balance sheet before saying what needs to be done with an institution that's served India for centuries.
