Dear Friends and Connections, My name is Ashraf Shafi, and I have been actively working in the field of waste management for over 16 years. During this time, I developed a critical and innovative solution that addresses a major gap in the sector. I am proud to share that this solution has been awarded a patent by the Government of India. Project Highlight: The innovation is India’s first patented Mobile Scrap Baling Vehicle (MSBV)—a fully functional, mobile unit designed to streamline on-site scrap collection, segregation, and compression, significantly reducing logistical costs and environmental impact. This project is a game-changer for decentralized waste management across urban and rural areas. The project is currently 90% complete, but for the past three months, I have been struggling to secure the necessary funding to complete the remaining 10%. The final phase includes finishing, field testing, and deployment—crucial steps to bring this solution into action.
