The "Fake It Till You Make It" Debate 🤔 - Helpful or Harmful for Founders? Arguments FOR 'Faking It': - Confidence Boost: Projecting confidence can be contagious, opening doors and creating opportunities. 💪 - Learning Under Pressure: Sometimes diving in forces you to learn and adapt faster than you thought possible. 🚀 Arguments AGAINST 'Faking It': - Authenticity Risk: A big gap between perception and reality can eventually damage trust and credibility. 😬 - Burnout & Imposter Syndrome: Constantly maintaining a facade is exhausting and stressful. 😵💫 - Missed Growth: Focusing on appearing competent might stop you from asking for help or learning from mistakes. Instead of pure 'faking', perhaps it's more about: ✅ Confidence + Competence: Projecting confidence based on your actual strengths, while being honest (with yourself & sometimes others) about where you need to grow. 🌱 Focus on Becoming It: Prioritise learning, skill-building, and getting genuine feedback over just maintaining appearances. 🤝 Authenticity: Building real trust is more valuable long-term than a perfect facade. It's okay to be a work-in-progress. What's your experience? Has "Fake It Till You Make It" helped or hindered you in your journey? Share your thoughts below! 👇
