I'm laughing at the naivety of "India should quickly make a trade deal with the USA." Trade deals take YEARS, not months, and involve thousands of line items and complex regulations. The US-Mexico-Canada agreement took over 2 years with countries that already had NAFTA! The US will demand concessions on agriculture, intellectual property, and data localization that would be political suicide for any Indian government to accept. We should be careful what we wish for, becoming dependent on the US market makes us vulnerable to their political whims.
