This is a clear sign that the US is trying to pivot away from China while still maintaining affordable consumer electronics. Smart move removing the tariffs right now, but I'm skeptical about how this benefits India in the long run. Sure, Foxconn is expanding in UP, but they're notorious for promising big investments and delivering much less. Remember Wisconsin? They announced a $10 billion factory and then drastically scaled back. I'll believe this gives India "extra negotiation power" when I actually see the factory built and fully operational.

I don't know why, but it feels like even after imposing tariffs, the actions China is taking might give India a manufacturing push. Our private manufacturers will need to take advantage of this; this is not something the government can do.
