Hey I am on Medial • 7m

"Need some honest advice from folks in tech & hiring! I'm currently choosing between CSE (Core) and AIML (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) for my BTech specialization. I’m personally more interested in AI, prompt engineering, automation, and future tech — but I’ve heard that CSE offers more flexibility, and some say companies may not directly recruit AIML grads. So here’s what I’d love to know from your experience: Do companies recruit AIML grads directly from college? And which is the better choice long-term — CSE or AIML — especially if I want to work in AI/startups and build real-world projects? Would really appreciate insights from seniors, recruiters, and tech professionals!

🚨 AI may already be cutting entry level tech jobs: New research has shown that tech companies hired 25% less college grads in 2024 and recruitment decreased by 11%.
