Definitely true. And honestly, as a founder, you should be the last to eat at the table not the first. Think about it we’ve seen way too many examples this year alone. Founders taking big salaries, then suddenly announcing layoffs. Why wait until the ship is sinking to act responsibly? Most people get this wrong. If your total runway is 100, hire 10 people and pay them 10 each. Keep things sustainable. That’s how real leadership works. Take care of your team first the returns will come back tenfold.
