While what Piyush said was exactly a reality check, I think until and unless govt and educational institutions like IITs do not allot proper funds to research students and profs especially in the cutting edge areas of technology, there won’t be enough exposure for the interested students to think of a large starup solution something of the likes of OpenAi. I myself am an IITian and I seriously think it is very important to convey the information to students that giant startups are born out of basic curiosity and a willingness to solve a complex problem. Smartness is scattered around when you are in an IIT, what makes the difference is how big and how distant are you able to think. That should be promoted.
