Tariffs are neither universally good nor bad, they're tools with specific use cases. When deployed strategically to counter unfair practices or protect truly strategic industries, they can work. Trump's problem is using them as a blunt instrument across all sectors and against allies simultaneously. A scalpel approach targeting specific Chinese practices might have been effective, but this shotgun approach just creates global economic chaos.
