I'm a doctor by profession so my comment can be biased. Still, I want to put my concerns here. The word you used 'Ayurvedic life style' impressed me a lot because ayurveda is not just medicine, it's much more than that. There's is so much included in this science in addition to the Ayurvedic medications. However, the problem is that people fail to understand this and just think ayurveda is an alternative to allopathic medicine. So, first important thing for your business, in my opinion is, creating the awareness to people about the holistic Ayurvedic life style. It's very hard than you can imagine as the people's perception to ayurveda is very nascent. Next thing is about ayurveda medicine, where I have number of concerns. It's a well known fact that even many allopathic medicine are made out of raw materials acquired from herbs/plants and trees. However, what brings in the difference is about the precision in dosage which is the major drawback. And the next big issue is the answerability. People who use Ayurvedic medicine doesn't hold the practitioner answerable like they do in the allopathic medicine. I'm one perspective, it looks good for a business but the set back here is, if the medication doesn't work, they just move on to the allopathic practitioner rather than come back to you with a feedback. so, the one who benefits from the herbal medicines give you the review but it's hard to get the negative reviews and so the feedback. If things are going wrong with the business, it would be very hard for you to work on the conflict point as there's no specific feedback that comes from the customers. It's a big problem than we can imagine. Would this idea work?? I guess it would, if you project it in the right way, like I said, if you focus on the holistic Ayurvedic way of living. People would be eager to learn but it's not easy to practice though. Your availability depends on how well you manage to engage your customers in teaching them more and more about this concept. For that, you should be having a tremendous knowledge about the ayurveda in whole. If your view is just to create a website and sell some ayurvedic medicines , I can assure you its hard to scale up and probably hard to sustain for long too. Considering India has a large youth population, it would be interesting to get a better understanding of Ayurvedic usage across different age groups. Perhaps you could ask your parents, siblings, neighbors, and other people in your community, making sure to include different age groups when you conduct your poll. Gathering a good number of responses would give you a more representative picture.
