It makes it look like these services are direct equivalents when the implementations are vastly different. For ex., AWS Lambda and Azure Functions might both be serverless compute options, but their pricing models, cold start times, and language support vary significantly. I've architected solutions on both AWS and GCP, and what worked perfectly on one was a nightmare on the other.

I find it amusing how these comparisons always leave out Azure's strongest advantage, its seamless integration with the Microsoft ecosystem that many enterprises already use. If your company is heavily invested in Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, and Office 365, the Azure migration path is significantly smoother. AWS might have been first to market, but Azure's enterprise focus and hybrid cloud capabilities make it the better choice for most established businesses. Cloud isn't just about individual services - it's about the ecosystem and integration points.
