Is the Traditional 9-to-5 Obsolete? 🤔 My take: Mostly YES. While stable jobs exist, the compulsion of a rigid 9-to-5 structure is fading for several reasons: ✅ Tech Enablement: Tools like Slack, Zoom, Asana, etc., make asynchronous and remote collaboration seamless. Geography is less of a barrier. ✅ Entrepreneurial Wave: The Indian start-up ecosystem is exploding! More people are empowered to build their own companies, chasing impact and ownership over traditional careers. Look at the funding & unicorn numbers! ✅ Shifting Priorities: Especially among younger generations, flexibility, purpose, and work-life integration often outweigh the traditional promise of decades at one company. Data shows flexibility is a top demand. ✅ Globalisation: Teams spread across time zones make a fixed 9-5 impractical for many international companies. It's less about "9-to-5" being dead entirely, and more about it no longer being the only or default viable path to a successful career. Agree or disagree? How has your work structure changed?
